EF-TEK MODERATED RUSSIAN-GERMAN DISCUSSIONS OF HEAT-AND-POWER GENERATION-RELATED ISSUES

Our company EF-TEK acted as a co-organizer and the moderator of the meetings and discussions aimed at sharing European heat-and-power supply systems modernization and development know-how (with Berlin and Dresden serving as examples) with Russian specialists. The event took place from September the 30th to October the 2d 2019. The event participants included representatives of the Russian association “Council of Power Producers”, of Russia’s largest heat generating companies such as “Inter RAO”, “Quadra”, “Siberian Generating Company” and “TatEnergo”; as well as of the leading German engineering companies “VPC GmbH” and “Fichtner GmbH & Co KG”. During the meetings specialists of the two German companies shared information about the most state-of-the-art heat supply-related solutions with their Russian colleagues. The event participants discussed such topics, as various development strategies for the heat supply and the utilities sectors; long-term planning methods utilized in the most advanced countries of the EU; the transition of Eastern and Northern European countries from traditional district heating to more efficient heating systems; various energy efficiency-, digitalization- and governmental support-related issues; as well as a variety of other topics relevant to the Russian heat and power sector.

As part of the event the participants visited running heat supply facilities in Germany: the Berlin district heating networks control center and a combined-cycle plant in Dresden.

They also discussed possible future cooperation between the Russian association “Council of Power Producers” and the public utilities companies of Berlin and Dresden.
