FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR THE “GORODSKAYA” THERMAL POWER STATION CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
The official goals of the “Gorodskaya” thermal power station construction project are the following:
- to reliably provide energy for prospective investment projects to be implemented by the Polyus PJSC in the Bodaybinsky District of the Irkutsk Region, Russia;
- to facilitate further development of the “Srednebotuobinskoe” oil and gas condensate field in the Republic of Sakha/Yakutiya, Russia, which is being developed by the Alrosa-Gas company;
- to reliably provide electric power for consumers located in the Republic of Sakha/Yakutiya as well as in the Irkutsk Region of Russia, taking into account the energy consumption growth forecasts till 2025.
As part of the Feasibility Study specialists of our EF-TEK company did the following: they
- analyzed the applicable heat and electric energy growth forecasts;
- elaborated on various thermal power station construction options;
- chose the best suitable station layout;
- elaborated on what top manufacturers’ equipment could be used;
- created and suggested suitable architectural planning solutions;
- made budget as well as social and economic efficiency calculations for the project; defined the required operation conditions for the core equipment of the thermal power station;
- issued the power output diagram (power distribution scheme) and the construction schedule outlines;
- evaluated the investment performance indicators;
- made a comparison between the project’s cost and its potential economic effect;
