The Quadra has completed construction of a 223 MW CCGT unit at the CHP Plant No.1 in Voronezh

The Quadra Company has successfully tested the newly built 223-megawatt combined-cycle gas turbine unit, installed at the Cogeneration Plant No. 1 in the city of Voronezh, Russia. As the final test, intended to prove that the new CCGT unit is ready for commercial use, it was connected to the grid. The CCGT unit operated continuously 72 hours long at its maximum capacity, and 8 hours long at its minimum capacity. Its adjustment range-related parameters were also verified.
Russian authorities in charge of the Russian wholesale electricity market regulation had admitted the newly built unit to trading on this market prior to that.
The investment project, covering the construction of the new 223 MW CCGT unit, is being implemented by the Quadra Co. at the CHP Plant No. 1 in Voronezh under a Power delivery contract. The price of this project exceeds 15 billion Russian rubles. Upon commissioning, the new 223 MW CCGT unit will contribute to improving the overall reliability and efficiency of the power generation taking place at the CHP Plant No. 1.
